Great little place

The hotel was in a perfect location for what out plans consisted of. The room was comfortable and it had everything you need. The customer service at check-in was amazing. The beds were comfortable and we felt safe and what made it even better was that our vehicle was literally right outside our door.

The room was nice it was cheap quick place to sleep and get back on the road check in was fast and the front desk was VERY accommodating they are friendly and like their job. TV worked great the beds are comfortable and ac and heat both work as well.

A warm and welcoming experience!

I was delighted with the warm welcome I got with the family who own the Inn. I am in hospitality also and though this time of the year is so beautiful especially in the fall; renovations and repairing are just to be expected. Even the crew working on the building we’re friendly and very considerate. Being there during the leaf changes, having dinner at the Pink Cadillac diner and watching the sunset were the perfect cure for a long day on the highway with way too many trucks going way too fast and so much road construction. The room was clean and provided A good nights rest. I would have loved to stay longer and enjoy a hike at Natural Bridge. I will stay again next year on the Texas to Maine Chocolate Trail!

Amazing hotel

The hotel is a nice place to stay, I've been staying long term due to some issues with my apartment being renovated the staff is amazing here would definitely come back again when needed. The beds are freshly made not alot of noise and you get a great view of the sunset from the room windows

Room was exactly what we needed

Nice friendly service!!! Didn't even book ahead of time and for my family of 5 we got a comfortable double room for 65$ a night and thats with the tax included .... I had planned on paying at least 165 a night so that gave us extra $ ... the room was clean and had a mini fridge and microwave.. perfect for an overnight stay

Not As Bad As Reviews But Overpriced

This hotel was the lowest priced on hotels.com and booking.com, but when we tried to reserve, we found it was "sold out". We then called and asked if they had an available non-smoking room, and they said yes. We asked the price and they said 55.00. When we got there, they said we were wrong that the price was 65.00. But they asked us what we were quoted, so why did they suddenly know it was not correct? We felt cheated, but it was late and we were tired. We looked at the room and the bed was comfortable. So we took the room anyway. We did have to ask for more pillows because they were flat. There was evidence of a lack of maintenance. I would have found it acceptable if it had been less expensive, but with the high cost combined with the other

Our family time

We have stayed here three time's over the years! prices are reasonable very clean rooms and very friendly!!! Very close to the natural bridge, zoo and all the sight seeing places the price for the room was reasonable!!!

Convenient location, outdated motel

This motel offers mixed feelings. It's in a prime location and easy to get to. It's near the interstate, gas station, zoo, park, caverns, and Natural Bridge. Although there isn't a sitting area or tables, it has amazing views from the backside. The parking spaces are located directly in front of the room, with no steps to worry about. The front desk is located behind a thick glass window, with a tiny pass-through slot. It's something you'd see at a gas station or bank located in a dangerous area. It was extremely difficult to communicate. We were charged a fee for reserving our room through booking.com. And he didn't have the room type or cost in his "system" (a paper ledger) and we had to bring up the confirmation on our phone. Either don't

Kindness and Service

I was backpacking on the Appalachian Trail and got ill. A good Samaritan gave me a ride to the Natural Bridge Hotel, but they were not open and sent me to the Relax Inn. My wife had called Relax Inn in advance of my arrival and told them I was walking the additional 3 miles to get there. When I arrived, after 20+ miles of walking that day, I was welcomed with a smile and eagerness to do anything to help me. I got a free drink, recommendation for a delivered diner, which was great, and a quiet room to get some rest. The room, although modest, was clean and had all I needed to start to feel better. The folks who run the Inn are very, very nice and I would use them again if I was in the area.

Not bad at all

I needed a bed for the evening and they were having some parents day at one of the schools around here and also a football game UVA in Charlottesville. This place didn't have inflated prices which was wonderful, but everybody else did.. The bed was comfortable, the shower hot, a micro-fridge in the room and hairdryer in the bath. The wifi was a little slow and the TV was somewhat old. All-in-all a nice place for the money and the desk clerk was very nice also.

Older comfortable place to spend the night.

The beds were great, older hotel, but very comfortable. Rooms were clean. Not the amount of miles to LU it said...internet listed 20 minutes...it was an hour drive up and down a very winding curvy mountain road. Price was good. Only reason I wouldn't stay again was it is too far fro where we were spending time.

Defiantely worht the money and will go back again!!

After reading all the negatives reviews about this place, I was a little hesitant to book it. I booked it anyways and it was the best choice that I could have made. All the negative reviews that other people have posted, I did not find any of it to be true. Yes it is an older motel but it is well kept and we had maid service all 3 days that we stayed there and fresh towels every time. The owners were hard to understand but they were very nice and accommodating. The WIFI signal was weak and intermittent but it still worked the entire time that we stayed there. The room included a microwave, fridge and a TV with very limited stations but that is ok since I was on vacation to see sights and not to sit it my room and watch TV. It was close to everything that my husband and I wanted to do. I will definitely stat here again!!
